Gotta say: We've been very pleased with the variety of entries we've been getting. There was at least one more that impressed us, but for now, a few tips for block 2:
1. Many, but not all, of the qualifications will be the same. Keep your templates.
2. There will be at least one more qualification for the three who did not get pre-booked slots.
3. The Piplup and Oshawott lines are officially taken. One belongs to a pivotal character with even more answers than the Wartortle, who will kindly tell us where we ended up; the other is the first Pokemon TF of this series related to the card game instead of the video games.
4. Since somebody asked, the Pikachu and Eevee lines are not valid. Yes, I know DW Espeon is badass, but part of what makes this project so fun is that we get to do a lot of different TFs. Pikachu and Eeveelution TFs can be searched by the dozen. Most of the other starters cannot.
5. One person, interestingly enough, submitted a character in the Pokemon World. There were a few other things that irked us about his application, but since that world is connected to this story, we'll be allowing characters from that world in the 3rd block. More details on that IN third block. Can't spoil too much, yet!
6. Yes, you are allowed to reuse character applications and modify them for whatever block have you. Third block will have the loosest requirements yet.
7. There will also be a different password. Yeeep.
For both people who have submitted and would like to submit: Name one thing you would miss about the real world after a few days in wherever Bronygon's captives are.
Block 2 will officially open when we get Block 1 done. Guess what I'm working on right now?

DEBT SETTLEMENT THREAD - FINAL chance.
I want to leave this account without regrets, so I'm giving you all one last chance to remind me of things I might have forgotten to finish. There is one picture that is still on this account's Sta.sh that I owe someone, for example. No new requests - just stuff I said I would do, but didn't. If you paid me for something, for example, and I didn't finish it, I at least owe you an explanation as to why. I also reserve the right to say "no" to anything - a right I did not fully exercise for years.
You have until May 11th (a week from today) to state anything I owe you in the comments. I will know if you are BSing; deny it though I may, I have
VGH: Monster Hunter VS Toukiden - Conclusion
Conclusion
We have some things to talk about, here.
First off, Game Theory has posited the idea that, in the future, all games may be judged by us, the gamers, in a court of law. If a blog - yes, a blog written by someone who may or may not just be venting an opinion - calls a game a "clone," that can be used to take legal action. If the legal department ever looked more into mechanics, Sonic the Hedgehog could be considered a clone of Mario games owing to them both being 2-D platformers and otherwise having a lot in common. What Game Theory didn’t get into was that calling something a clone or not is culturally-biased.
A while back, G

Come take a walk down memory lane with me.
Roughly a decade ago, I was into a MMORPG called Ragnarok Online. Its style consisted of pixel art sprites on a 3D background. There were a ton of different worlds, lots of unique monsters, and I kinda liked what Myung-Jin Lee had going with the manhwa (which...had little to nothing to do with the MMO). Although I originally loved the Hunter class, Assassins became my fave in the end, and I was always trying to catch all the tameable monsters. I played two different pirate servers of the thing, and that was really all I could handle. Pokemon Diamond ate me after that (reminder: I
VGH: Monster Hunter VS Toukiden - Mechanics
Mechanics/GameplayMy criterion for liking a game is simple: I like a game if it's fun. That said, I've played enough games that I can still talk about mechanics enough to determine whether or not I enjoy them.
I’ve seen the mechanics in Monster Hunter compared to those in Dark Souls. Having never played Dark Souls, I can’t say too much about this, but from what I’ve heard, it and MH have at least one thing in common: they’re unforgiving.
In MH, you have to learn FAST. There are things that will 1 or 2-shot you in one move. You have three lives to finish a quest with, and each one lost deducts your pay. That seems fair

Hmm... The immediate first thing I'd miss would be watching Shofu's videos.
